God is ready to forgive you, ready to give comfort, and peace within your soul. God's Word states that if we confess our sins He will forgive us.
I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Sins that are not forgiven have a way to give us heavy burdens throughout our life.

The word of God states in Matthew 7:7 Ask and it shall be given you: seek and you shall find: knock and it shall be opened unto you.
Remember we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Thank God for a new life, Read Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
